Meet at the beautiful gardens along the Yarra River at Boathouse Drive and ‘salute the sun’ with a short yoga session before paddling. Your instructor will lead the group through a series of warming postures to ensure your body is fully awake and refreshed before heading out in the kayaks.
After a quick briefing and paddling lesson, participants will get kitted up and head downriver under the Princes Bridge and into the heart of Melbourne. The tour will continue along the Yarra past Flinders Station and up to the iconic Polly Woodside vessel at South Wharf. After a short break the paddlers then head back upstream past Crown Casino and the lively South Bank district before finishing back at Boathouse Drive. What a way to start the day!
With a fleet of extremely stable Sea Bear sea kayaks, the experience will be even easier for first-time paddlers.
